Xaverian will be walking in loving memory of Brother Raymond Hoyt.
Brother Ray was diagnosed with ALS in the Summer of 2016 and lost his battle October 9, 2017
Brother Ray was able to join us our first year participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS but on our second year Brother Ray’s health was declining so we reached out to him to ask him about us having a team again. These were his words which captured his support...
"Having lived with this for a year or so, I would wholeheartedly endorse the ALS walk for Xaverian. Spread the news and love and work for some sort of cure. I really do appreciate all the hard work and effort expended on ALS. It does work….I am lucky to have Xaverian Brothers High School and my family behind me. May God's peace be with all. Love, Bro. Ray" (June 2017)
The Xaverian community and Brother Ray's family continue to walk to honor his memory and help raise funds for research and help for those battling this disease.
