The ALS Association, Massachusetts Chapter is a proud sponsor of Camp HLC (Hope Loves Company), and is excited to help bring this weekend retreat to Massachusetts for the very first time!

Camp HLC is a free 3-day overnight retreat for children and young adults who have/had a parent or grandparent living with ALS. It will be held on August 19-21, 2016 at Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA, Berkshire Outdoor Center at Larkum Lake, 620 Reservoir Road, East Otis, MA, 01029.

Campers have the opportunity to have fun, to be challenged through team building exercises and new adventures, while meeting and making new friends. All of the children and young adults (ages 8 to 21 years old) understand the challenges of being a caregiver to a person living with ALS.

Camp HLC is provided free to our ALS families for Hope Love Company and The ALS Association, Massachusetts Chapter. All meals and activities are included. In addition to hiking, canoeing and bonfires, campers will experience art therapy, meditation, join group discussions and to learn new coping skills. For the best camp experience, children under the age of 12 years old must attend with an adult family member or adult chaperone.

This is a wonderful and unique experience to help your children and grandchildren feel embraced, supported and celebrated while gaining resources!
